The renovation can take weeks or months... but once it's completed, there is an opportunity to make tens of thousands of dollars by marketing the new and improved property for sale. This type of REI is not for the timid, but can be a gold mine for the select few that have what it takes to get it done! Turnkey Investments - If you are looking for passive income or for a fairly easy way to save for retirement, turnkey rentals are the way to go. In most cases these properties do not need any repair. They are already leased to thoroughly screened tenants who pay enough monthly to cover the mortgage and provide a few hundred dollars a month in income. Other than meeting certain requirements and filling out some paperwork, you really don't have to do a thing to begin making money with turnkey rentals.
